Gladys Mitchell Clark was born to John and Hortia Mitchell in Red Warrior, WV on March 13, 1919. She answered the call of the Lord on Friday, December 23, 2017. She attended and graduated from public school system in West Virginia. She married William Latelle Clark on November 22, 1936. They moved their young family in Columbus, OH in 1938 where they became members of Refuge Baptist Church. While at Refuge she was a member of the Gospel Choir. She and her husband later became members of Rock of Faith Baptist Church where she served on the Mother's Board until she was unable to physically attend church. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and oldest son, William Howard Clark; brothers, Russell, Arthur, William, Clarence and James Mitchell; and sisters, Noreen Tyler, Macy Jennings and Kathryn Jones. She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Barbara (David) Cox, Robert (Carol) Clark, Joanne (Lorenzo) Johnson; grandchildren, Russell Clark, Anthony (Darla) Clark and Kimberly Cox; 3 grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, church family and friends. Funeral service Friday 11am Chapel of CALIMAN FUNERAL SERVICES, 3700 Refugee Rd, Elder Peter K. James, officiating, where the family will receive friends 10am until the time of service.
